We are delighted with the great achievement of our GEMWeM students participating in the “Entrepreneurship-Startup Project“ (iTrek) course.
The teams of students worked with Israeli startups on real-live challenges, such as Go to Market Strategy, Pricing, Product Market Fit for three months. The teams were able to utilize concepts they learned in class, help of local mentors and advisors in Geneva, weekly discussion of progress with startups, and frequent feedback from Professor Roni Michaely and Moriya Kassis.
Then, in January, all students traveled to Israel for one week to present their solution to the startups and selected leaders in the local entrepreneurial industry. The participating startups are from different industries including FinTech, eCommerce, Security, BI, and more. Through their presentations, our students impressed Israeli entrepreneurs and VCs with their critical thinking and deep analysis.
We are grateful to Professor Roni Michaely (in charge of the course), Moriya Kassis (expert in Product Management), all mentors and advisors from Banks, Family offices that invest in startups, and VC firms from around Switzerland; as well as to the Swiss Ambassador in Israel who graciously hosted the students in his private resident for a wonderful evening of interaction with local VC and startups.
